Social
Security Disability Benefits (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are
two types of benefits under the Social Security Administration. You are
eligible for Social Security Disability benefits based upon your work history
and any social security taxes. Supplemental Security Income provides benefits
to disabled adults and children with limited income and resources. Both
programs require a determination that you are medically disabled under a five
step outline.
In order to qualify for either program, you must prove
that you are not working; because of a severe medical impairment or impairments
which either meet the regulatory criteria or prevents you from performing any
work that you have done in your past and prevents you from performing any other
work that exists in significant
numbers.
Most cases are won after a request for reconsideration is denied. Our
office has significant experience in winning cases before an Administrative Law
Judge. Our legal team will work with you to develop a theory for your case.
This means that we will work with you and your medical providers to explain why
your medical condition keeps you from performing work
activities.
Our office takes Social Security case on a contingency
fee basis. If we win your case, the attorney fee will not be more than
twenty-five percent (25%) of your past due benefits. If we cannot make your
case work, you will not owe an attorney
fee.
